Drop & Go: TEXT MESSAGE

you ever got the ultimate phone call or text. “Mate, it up and pumping. Meet at
8am put in”
I
arrived back in OZ on New Years Eve, not expecting to get on a creek until I
reached the North American shore in May, but we have had the wettest summer in
30 years and I got that ultimate text message!!!
It
was all ON! A flurry of texts were sent through cyber space to all the local
crew. We dropped everything: work,
partners and all other prior engagements. It was 5am, ignition start and 3
hours north from Melbourne to the Strathboggie Ranges in Victoria, Australia
for our best class 4/5 creek run. So excited, I arrived and realized I only
brought one of my river shoes. Runner would have to do.... Can you believe they
where pink that is BIG for me. Nothing like creekin’ in boardies and thin
thermal when you remember being freezing cold the last time you run the same
creek.
This
was also the creek I blew my shoulder on 4 years ago.
